Pyramid lake Jr/Sr High School Pageant Application for 2022-23 are now being accepted until Sept. 9, 2022. The contestant must be attending Pyramid Lake Jr/Sr High School, have a 2.0 grade point average cumulative and semester, student may not be on a disciplinary contract or be pregnant. Welcome back to all of our students. It was an emotional start to the day, but it was much needed as we open up our 2022-2023 school year.
We had the honor of hearing from RSIC Chairman Arlan Melendez as he welcomed our students and staff back. We would also like thank Ralph Burns for the Paiute Prayer and School Board Member Mervin Wright for sharing his testimony. We wrapped up our morning with Toby Stump singing us a beautiful honor song as we welcomed each of our students to the new year. Special thanks to Chairwoman Janet Davis, Pyramid Lake Behavioral Health Program, Clinic Representatives, and School Board Member Jake Chapin for joining us as well.

To Promote Dental Health & Safety, the Pyramid Lake Tribal Health Clinic is sponsoring a program for Youth who are participating in a sports that
recommends the use of a Sports Mouth guard.

PLHS will be delivering Breakfast and Lunch meals Monday-Thursday.
Thursdays drop off will also include a meal for Friday.
Meals can be picked up by any child up to the age of 18 years (disabled adults
to the age of 23) or by a Parent/Guardian.

It's GRADUATION Day! Congratulations to the Class of 2022!
Graduation Ceremony will start at 6pm on the football field. Guests are welcome to sit on the visitors side or you may bring your own chair. Cupcakes and ice cream will be served after. #CLASSOF2022
We have some great prizes for our Lakers that have been demonstrating our school community cultural expectations of being mindful, respectful, worthful and helpful. When a staff member observes a student demonstrating one of our expectations they are awarded a Laker ticket that they can redeem for a prize at our Laker Store. We have collected all of the tickets all year long and will be drawing names tomorrow for some grand prizes. This is just one way that we show our students how much we appreciate their hard work. We have officially sold out! THANK YOU to everyone who bought a square and supported the Class of 2022. A big THANK YOU to Linda Ely who organized the square board and also sold Indian Tacos at the PL Baseball/softball home game. Your hard work and dedication to our Senior Class is greatly appreciated.
*The proceeds of the square board will go toward the Senior Trip on Friday May 20, 2022. We will be drawing this afternoon and will notify the winner.

Laker Famlies,
On Monday May 16 and Tuesday May 17 we will have BIE mandated testing for 6th, 7th, 8th, and 11th graders.
To accommodate testing and minimize loss of instructional time we will have half days for all students. 9th, 10th, and 12th graders will go home at noon these days while the aforementioned grades will stay and test from noon until 3pm. Transportation will be provided at noon and then at regular afternoon time for students.
Wednesday will be a regular schedule with BIE science testing for 8th and 11th grades during the regular day.
***Thursday is a half day with prom in the evening. Tickets are available in the front office. We are still taking sign ups for hair/make up and have lots of Prom dresses available for FREE. Please contact Jane @ (775) 574-1016 ext. 1303 if you have any questions.
PLHS Prom May 19, 2022. Tickets are $ 25.00 a piece and $45.00 for two. Dinner included. Tickets can be purchased in the front office.
We received donated dresses through Lexi's Prom Closet. Sizes range from small to xl. The Dresses are FREE to anyone who needs a dress. Please see or call Jane if you have any questions or would like to take a look at them.
Also, if you are interested we have a stylist who is willing to come to PLHS the afternoon of prom for a fee. We also reached out to Paul Mitchell Beauty school and they have a Hair and makeup special for $ 20.00. (We can provide rides to students who are interested.) Just a friendly reminder PLHS Parents- The Spring Athletic photo shoot will be held on Thursday, May 12 beginning at 1 p.m. All athletes need to complete the order form even if you are not purchasing pictures. If you purchasing pictures, payments are due at the time of the photo shoot. Thank you!
